Because of you, my students now have access to essential items like combs, brushes, conditioner, shampoo, lice combs, hair ties, deodorant, toothpaste, and toothbrushes—items that truly make a difference in their daily lives.\r\nWe've been using these resources in thoughtful and practical ways. Together with students, we created individual supply bags so students can easily access what they need when they need it. Students also helped design and post signs around the school to let others know that these supplies are available, helping to create a supportive and caring environment beyond just our classroom.\r\nWhen the supplies first arrived, there was a real sense of excitement and appreciation. Many students immediately recognized items they needed, and it meant a lot for them to know those needs would be met in a safe, welcoming space. It has helped normalize conversations around self-care and made it easier for students to take care of themselves with confidence.\r\nAs we move forward, these resources will continue to be part of our daily routines. We are building habits around responsibility, independence, and self-care, all of which support students not just academically, but personally as well. When students feel comfortable and cared for, they are better able to focus, participate, and succeed.\r\nYour generosity has had a meaningful impact on our classroom community. The fresh markers are being used across subjects, from illustrating stories to labeling science diagrams.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments happened during a small‑group reading lesson. A student who has been working hard on CVC words used the new phonics toys to build the word \"sun,\" then proudly used the new markers to draw a picture to match. They were so engaged in talking about what plants need to survive and were eager to take responsibility for watering and caring for them each day. During our spring crafts, students worked together to create colorful seasonal projects that encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, and teamwork. The egg hunt brought so much joy and excitement while also helping students practice following directions, taking turns, and celebrating together as a classroom community.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their faces immediately lit up with excitement. Many students could not wait to begin crafting and planting, and they were thrilled knowing these activities were made possible by generous donors. The classroom was filled with smiles, laughter, and nonstop questions about when we could start using everything. Seeing their enthusiasm reminded us how meaningful these experiences are for our students.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for our students include continuing to care for their plants and observing the changes over time as part of our spring science learning.
