My Project

A sensory light table is an important tool in a pre-K classroom because it enhances hands-on learning through visual and tactile exploration. The illuminated surface captures children’s attention and encourages curiosity, helping them explore colors, shapes, patterns, and materials in meaningful ways. It supports early science and math skills, fosters creativity, and provides opportunities for collaborative play and language development. Additionally, sensory light tables can be calming and engaging for diverse learners, making them an effective tool for supporting different learning styles and developmental needs.

My amazing students are curious and have a love of learning.

They learn best by actively exploring the world around them. At this age, children are naturally curious and use their senses—touching, building, moving, and experimenting—to make sense of new ideas. Hands-on activities keep them engaged, make learning more meaningful, and help them develop important skills like problem-solving, creativity, and fine motor coordination. By doing rather than just listening, my young learners are able to better understand concepts and build confidence in their abilities.
