Light Filters for Every Season-Reduce Headaches and Eye Fatigue

Help me give my students Educational Insights Light Filters for Every Season. Several students suffer from headaches this year, and a trigger is sitting under fluorescent lights all day. I would like to safely cover the lights.

My Students

My students are hard-working, compassionate kids. They look out for each other and are always willing to help another student, frequently without any prompting from an adult. They see when someone is struggling and they just intercede.

I want all of them to be successful, and oftentimes, that means modifying the classroom setting to suit the needs of everyone in it.

My Project

I have several students this year who suffer from headaches. In a school setting, the fluorescent lights seem to be a trigger for them. To try and prevent headaches to the point where they need to lie down or take pain reliever, we frequently shut off different banks of lights to aid these students. However, winter in Michigan does not allow much transient lighting from the windows!

I feel we would all benefit from having the fluorescent light filters.

It will reduce headaches for some and eye fatigue for all.

Not only will these light filters assist my homeroom students, but other fourth grade students who rotate through my classroom for Science, as well as all my future students!
