Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are special needs learners in a high needs area. Most of my students come from Spanish speaking homes and are struggling to learn literacy skills both in English and in Spanish. I have students in grades kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth and fifth, learning together in one ID classroom with very different needs and skills.
Each student in my class needs highly individualized education and care plans to be successful both in school and in life, and depend on our classroom to deliver highly specialized content and life skills.

My students need materials like, Osmo Pizza Co., Spelligator Board Game, Brackit Bolts and Nuts Set, along with a few other activities prizes and reosurces for increasing their proficiency with life skill tasks, including life skills boxes and work tasks.Our students benefit greatly from being exposed to learning activities that help them master real world skills.
Our students need opportunities to build life skills and fine motor skills with work boxes that are tailored to their needs.
These kits contain useful supplies including nuts and bolts to build spacial reasoning and fine motor control, files to build stamina in work tasks, table setting and food "cutting" projects to build kitchen and life skills and manipulatives to explore new ways of writing.
We are also including practical math opportunities which includes the Osmo Pizza Kit and physical opportunities to promote literacy like the Spelligator Game.
