My Students

I have the honor and privilege of working with a wonderful group of students who are between the ages of 18 and 21. My students are hilarious, hardworking, and sweet. My students, who happen to have profound cognitive and physical disabilities, attend a separate school, due to the severity of their needs. My students are within 2-3 years of graduating and are beginning the process of transitioning to the workforce!

Our students focus on learning from a functional curriculum.

Most of our students come from low-income families. Despite the challenges our students face, they are very energetic, enthusiastic, and kind-spirited kids.

My Project

My students need Kitchen Utensil Bingo, Filling Out Forms Workbook, Bingo Chips, and Looking Good Life Skills Development Series Set. My students follow a functional curriculum where they focus on learning things like cooking, survival signs, good hygiene and social skills. These hands-on learning materials will help my students to learn skills that will help them throughout their lives.

My students need pictures with words to be able to learn important life skills.

I will be able to teach lessons that combine listening, hands-on materials, and visual guides to benefit all types of learners. Following a sequence of directions will help my students to become more independent.
