My students need coping tools like these amazing, compelling novels, with connection and excitement; these books will do just that!

My Students

My students come from various demographics of a Title 1 school, and we all know what that means--poverty level is high. We have students of all nationalities, along with students who speak very little English, if any at all.

My students are from different backgrounds, some are different nationalities, ethnicities, and some come from broken homes.

These students do not always have the support that other students from other cities receive. Let's help make tolerance and acceptance real! With your help and the help of our school, perhaps they will succeed! Think about the students: smart, funny, energetic, but students who are simply at poverty level!

My Project

My students are going through some tough times in life. Each of the novels or books in this selection provides them with a different life opportunity that they have been succumbed to over a period of time. While these guys are my freshmen, they need guidance, understanding, and help with life skills.

The different novels selected are exciting, thrilling, and will help them conquer many different feats that they are experiencing within their lives right now.

With these books, they will learn compassion, understanding, acceptance, tolerance, the ability to forgive, the need to understand that rules are important, actions will have consequences, and so much more.

My students come from tough lives, and with these novels, hopefully my students can learn to overcome their trials and tribulations.
