Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In many urban communities, students are not supplied with the same tools and materials found in more affluent areas. My students are growing to be lifelong learners, and they are in need of resources to help them develop and strengthen their understanding of current events.
My sixth graders are bright, loving, and most importantly - unstoppable in their quest to be successful.
Their families support the students, the teacher, and the school. The parents are confident in my abilities as a teacher and with these new relationships and community connections. I enter my room more prepared and driven to provide my students with the supplies which they need.
My Project
The variety of art supplies I have requested will provide my students with the materials that will challenge and engage them, exercising creative thinking, artistic awareness, and expression. My students will be able to each have the opportunity to share their learning and passions in a different and sometimes more engaging way. These brushes and art papers will allow for student choice and style. Your generous donations to our project will influence the lives of my students. With your support and contribution, my students will be able to play creatively with materials they do not have much exposure to. They will begin to successfully try new mediums and communicate their work to their peers. They are an eager classroom ready to dive into creativity. Please help support our love for learning, art, and communication.
