This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a GT cluster and love hands on learning. We are working on learning about sustainability by integrating lessons in reading, math, social studies, science, and writing. Sustainability goals help students how to be productive and successful members of a community while learning life skills.

They love to research, plan and do.

This project will help them to research, build, observe the life cycle, and then figure out how we could use the plants grown to help the community. Students will use all content areas when working on our class garden including math by measuring and recording data, writing by recording observations, and reading by researching how we could make it better and how it works.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
