My Project

Research shows that reading aloud to children is the single most important activity in helping children become good readers. Through our classroom lending library, we provide that opportunity for our students with books to read at school and also to borrow for at home reading.

Our lending library is in need of bilingual books in English and Spanish to provide to students and families the opportunity to read in their first language.

When children sit down to share a book with someone they love, the benefits are countless. From hearing the language of books, engaging in conversations about what is happening, to noticing the words on the page carry meaning and developing a positive connection with books, a reader's brain is growing.

Please help us improve our library so we can provide all of this and more to our students. Thank you so much for your generosity!
