My Project

I am a book lover and I encourage my students to do the same. My project is to replenish books in our classroom library. My class love book series and by adding these wonderful books in the classroom, this will allow them to continue to dream big through reading. I am a strong believer that books allow you to go places you never been. Books allow you to discover and learn about new and old places. Through books we can time travel to a different time period, moment, setting, way of life and meet people from historic times, as well as characters. This also allows you to develop your knowledge and build vocabulary and the most important, comprehension. Often times, books are the only way our children get to travel and build connections to the character, situations and understand the feelings of the characters' trials and tribulations. I want my classroom to be the place where students can live through the eyes of another.
