My Students

I run a library with 7th and 8th graders who have truly made the library their space. Students have created several spaces to promote their interests among themselves. We have a graphic novel section, puzzle-creating and board game centers, and chess and student book clubs meet in the library. These are just a few designated areas and interests that the library has drawn together.

In addition, the teachers bring their classes down to complete research, book selection, and projects using the technology and print materials in the library.

My Project

Our school library is beginning to undergo a transformation into a maker space and a collaboration center for students and staff members to meet and create incredible projects. The designing of this modern day library has the opportunity for some exciting new spaces for the students to collaborate together.

One of these amazing new spaces will be a lego wall for students to build and create their ideas individually or with a small group.

Making over an entire library is quite costly, and we are looking for the generous community to help with the individual spaces whenever possible.

The students have expressed that a lego wall is one of the first spaces that they would like to see complete. Thank you for considering donating to this project!
