Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

New library books! Graphic novels (book-length comics in a variety of styles and genres) are popular with kids everywhere. But they're especially important for my students, most of whom do not speak English as their first language. These styles of books are great choices for my English language learning students for two reasons: students are not overwhelmed by having too many words on a page, and students can look to the illustrations to help explain the story.

Unfortunately, my limited budget means I just cannot keep up with all the best new titles.

I want my students to walk into my library and find the most up-to-date and well-reviewed graphic titles available to them.
