Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are the best! They are fun, creative, and love to learn. They are challenging and rewarding! They are funny, caring and they love school. I want to ensure they reach their true potential and provide them with access to all the materials they may need to help them to become more successful.

My Project

My classroom library as well as the resources we have at school aren't enough to get my students where I need them to be. Therefore, I am proposing several different sets of leveled readers to be used in our reading groups. They come with organized labeled bins so that the children will have easy access.

Guided reading is done daily in our classroom and these materials would be used all the time...and for years to come!

I look forward to sharing literature with my class that challenges them. Thank you for your consideration!
