My Project

I have a class full of energetic, enthusiastic, and amazing students! Our school is a Title I school, and many of my students come from low-income households or face housing instability. All of my students receive free lunch, and many are English language learners, while some have special needs. Despite the challenges they may face outside of school, my students come to school each day eager to learn, with big smiles on their faces and hearts full of excitement.

Books are one of my favorite ways to tap into that excitement!

My students love stories that make them laugh, introduce them to new characters, and take their imaginations somewhere new. As growing first-grade readers, having access to fun and engaging books can help them build their confidence while discovering just how exciting reading can be.

My goal is to create a classroom where my students don’t just learn how to read, they truly love to read. I want our classroom library to be a place where every student can find a book that makes them excited to turn the next page.
