My Students

I have been teaching at the same school for the last 19 years, and every year is better than the last. If I had to describe my students in one word, it would be amazing!

My kindergarten students are determined, dedicated, enthusiastic, and engaged.

We are in the midst of our year-long journey of learning, full of new experiences and challenges. I know that they are willing to work hard, take risks, and make incredible progress.

Every year I teach my students important information like how to read and write and do math problems. And in the end, they teach me some pretty important things, too. Like how to enjoy the moment, show empathy and understanding for each other during difficult times, be flexible, conquer challenges, power through difficult situations, and how to be resilient. I am lucky to have them!

My Project

My students just returned from Winter Break this week. They are excited to be back at school - learning and playing with their friends. Our area is experiencing a covid surge and we all desperately want to stay healthy and at school for in-person learning.

This project is for a few essentials - snacks, paper towels, masks, clorox wipes - that help keep our classroom a healthy place for students.

The healthy snacks make sure the students have quick, easy healthy options for when they're hungry. Paper towels clean up spills and messes quickly. We never have enough masks because they get dirty so easily and students need them to stay safe from Covid. Clorox wipes help make sure all the surfaces and shared items in our classroom stay clean and sanitized. This project would make sure my students stay healthy at school!
