My Project

I love how my students show up with big personalities, big questions, and remarkable resilience. They debate like tiny attorneys, laugh like it’s a full-time job, and keep trying even when learning feels hard. Many of my students carry responsibilities and challenges outside of school, yet they still walk into the classroom eager to belong, be seen, and grow. Their curiosity, honesty, and determination are what make this group truly special.

When students’ basic needs are met, their focus, confidence, and ability to learn increase immediately.

The snacks in this project help students who come to school hungry stay engaged during lessons, discussions, and long class periods instead of being distracted by hunger. Having reliable access to paper ensures every student can participate fully in learning activities such as note-taking, writing, map work, and project planning, even when technology fails or supplies aren’t available at home. These resources remove barriers so students can concentrate on learning rather than worrying about what they’re missing.

My goal for this project is to create a classroom environment where students feel supported, respected, and ready to learn each day. By providing essential snacks and materials, I can help students build stamina, take academic risks, and stay engaged throughout the school day. Your support helps create a classroom where students feel cared for—and when students feel cared for, they are far more willing to challenge themselves and succeed.
