My Students

Our school serves students in grades PreK-6 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment. My class consists of inner-city children, with greater than 76% of them being low-income children, including many children who have experienced trauma in their lives. They enjoy coming to school, are excited to learn daily, and appreciate what they have.

Despite so many hardships, they are eager to learn and do their best.

My students want to be in school to experience friendships, structure, and to learn they can be successful. The tools to help them succeed will provide a path to academic excellence.

My Project

My fourth-grade students love opportunities to learn by using a variety of interesting information outside of a textbook. SuperScience and Just Write Scholastic Magazines will provide much-needed support to our demanding curriculum. My students will continue to learn and be able to take what they have learned and relate it to the real world.

Children learn in a variety of ways, so why not make it fun and mix it up a little to bring the excitement of learning into the classroom.

The smile on a child's face as they engage with their classmates always puts a smile on my face.
