Imagine yourself reading a book while sitting on a cold, hard floor. It doesn't sound very enjoyable does it? With your help my students will have a warm, comfortable place to sit and read a book by themselves or with a friend. The carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom and used as a gathering place during mini-lessons and share time in addition to sustained silent reading. I am looking to make reading a pleasurable experience for all of my students. As we all know, when we are comfortable, it just seems to make what we are doing easier. Sit, relax, and enjoy!
