My Students

My 6th grade class is full of unique personalities. Creative, funny, determined, and hard working; those are words to describe my students. My students are eager to explore and understand the world around them. Having fun while we are learning, helps keep my students engaged and active in their learning. I try to instill a love of learning, a passion for reading, and encourage creative and critical thinking. I also try to model and teach skills to be wonderful human beings in the world. We are a room of authors, mathematicians, scientists, poets, artists, and teachers.

My Project

Many students are lacking age appropriate social skills, due to the pandemic. I am hoping by encouraging more reading activities, we can work through some of the social challenges my students are facing.

I believe that books and reading materials can teach students appropriate social skills that they make be lacking.

Working together as a class, I believe that our classroom can become a cohesive learning environment. We will have group discussions and may include cooperative learning groups as well as group project work.

I know that my 6th graders can become the people they were meant to be!
