Many students are lacking age appropriate social skills, due to the pandemic. I am hoping by encouraging more reading activities, we can work through some of the social challenges my students are facing. I believe that books and reading materials can teach students appropriate social skills that they make be lacking. Working together as a class, I believe that our classroom can become a cohesive learning environment. We will have group discussions and may include cooperative learning groups as well as group project work. I know that my 6th graders can become the people they were meant to be!
