My Project

I am giving students a different way to learn through solving problems on whiteboards, doing problems around the room (fun bright paper), playing math bingo and doing hands on activities with rulers and patty paper. I am helping students start off the day with success by providing paper and pencils to those in need.

Many students hate math because they are consistently feeling defeated.

After elementary schools, math seems less "fun". I am making it my goal to change this prospective for my 8th grade students. I want to make math fun and let students gain confidence and success in math.

My students are special because they consistently score low on math assessments. They have a score of a 29% math proficiency. These students need a chance to learn math in different ways and they deserve to finally find success in math.
