My Project

My bilingual students are a group of energetic, compassionate, and motivated learners who strive for greatness every single day. In our classroom, our affirmation is “The future of the world is in our classroom,” which resonates with each one of my students.

I want my students to know they can achieve their goals and become valuable citizens of their community!

Most of my students come from low-income households, single parents, and foster care, and recently immigrated to the United States. My school is a Title I school. All students received free lunches based on social and economic status. As a teacher working in this area, my students face many challenges inside and outside the classroom.

My classroom lacks materials to support my English Language Learners. We need books that my students can relate to in English and Spanish. Also, we need more activities to engage my students during learning centers. Lastly, with these materials, my classroom will be a more fun, engaging, and hands-on learning experience for my English Language Learners.
