This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students need footballs to learn how to play football. You can not really learn how to throw, catch, hike, and punt a football using a playground ball.

Our school is a Title I school with 75% of the students receiving free or reduced lunches.

Our students come from a low social economic background with limited personal experiences and opportunities. Like most of the nation, our students are increasing in weight and are not participating in as much physical activity as they should.

My Project

To be able to teach 70+ elementary students how to throw, catch, hike and punt a football correctly in a limited amount of time, I will need 35+ footballs. To learn and to be good at using a football and how to play the game the students will need plenty of hands-on practice with a football.

The footballs I am requesting are the perfect size and grip for all the 850+ elementary students in my school.

The footballs are also soft so that the students are not afraid to catch them. The ball cart I am requesting with make it easier to carry the footballs the field. The duffel bag is to bring practice balls to games that our school team plays on Saturdays against other elementary schools.
