This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach Dual Immersion students and throughout the year, I get many different students that are newcomers from different countries. Often times they have to leave their homes in other countries and completely start over without knowing the language.

I want to be able to provide my students with notebooks and English words flashcards to help them begin their development of the English language.

Due to them barely moving to this country, money is tight and many times their parents are not able to provide the necessary supplies that they need to learn. If I am able to provide these supplies, it will be helpful for them to begin their journey of learning English.
