My Project

In my K-2 class, all students are learning how to read or trying to improve their reading skills. They are all working at different reading levels. Each day, we work in small groups and I focus on the skills that the students need to become successful fluent readers.

Incentives and materials will make learning to read fun and exciting.

Students love to be rewarded for their hard work. Stickers and treasure box prizes are great incentives and they help keep students motivated and excited to read. Also, having pencil boxes and folders will help teach students organizational skills. Students will be excited to learn and, when kids are excited about something, they want to do it and want to do it well.
