Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we approach the start of a new school year, I would like to welcome my students to kindergarten glowingly. To do this, we will have a STEM Day Glow Party.bThis party is going to be fun and vibrant, and it will be a day full of STEM activities! We need all of the decorations included to make our room come alive.

Students will be engineering, researching, and solving realistic mathematical problems all day!

The black lights will be used to make the neon colors in the room glow! Students will research how this works and then report their findings to the class! All over the room, there will be various stations with different challenges the students must complete.

In one of the station activities, the students will participate in the Neon Cup stacking challenge. In another station, using highlighters, they will complete math problems, highlighter mazes, and highlighter shape drawings based on a written description and make as many words as possible with the given letters.

This fun and engaging theme will continue throughout the year and have a dynamic ending.
