Let's Glow Read: A Glow Themed Literacy Night!

Help me give my students glow in the dark materials for a fun-filled glow themed family literacy night!

My Project

Our student population is incredibly diverse. Much of our student body falls into the English as a New Language (ENL) category. Because of this, many of our students are reading well below grade level. Our teachers make reading and learning the English language a priority everyday and infuse their lessons with fun and engaging literacy activities.

Strong literacy skills not only enrich lives, but also open doors to educational, as well as employment opportunities in our community.

As an effort to encourage families to read in the home and equip them with literacy activities they can do with their children, we are hosting a glow-themed family literacy night at our school. Our school has had limited in person family events in the past years due to the COVID, so this will be one of the first large events where families will gather in the building.
