My Students

Over the river and through the woods... This is a cliche you might routinely hear a class chanting at our school as they head out for a learning adventure on our campus. It's actually a creek, not a river, but you get the idea!

Our environmental magnet focus allows us to utilize the natural environment on our thirty-nine acre campus for fun and learning.

Our campus is uniquely situated in the center of an urban community. The students in our school come from all over the city because we do not service a specific neighborhood. Many of our students get their first experiences with fishing, hiking, and observing wildlife on our campus.

The students here at our school are in grades K-6. We pride ourselves on educating the whole child using multiple intelligences and helping our students grow academically and socially.

My Project

A Cricut Maker machine will be used by the teacher and students. The teacher will use the items to create interactive bulletin boards for students, anchor charts to display, Kid of the Day t-shirts, personalized folders and containers. Students will be able to use the Cricut Maker to help with creating display boards for projects, school spirit items for sports, as well as having access to it during free time to work on projects of their own creation.

The creative possibilities in a classroom are infinite with the help of a Cricut.

The cutting mats and tools will students manipulate the things they create once they are cut and ready to transfer to their final product.
