Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Title 1 school with a large English language learner population. Most of my students are curious about the world around them and in science we need supplies to provided them with hand on activities and labs.
Students love creating posters and projects to display what they are learning in the science classroom.
My project is for supplies for students to be creative and expressive in their work.
My students get excited when there is a lab or demonstration and I want to increase engagement with getting more activities for hand-on learning.
My Project
I choose resources such as anchor chart paper, markers, envelopes, index cards, colored paper and sticky notes. My students will make posters to construct their ideas into art. The students use the chart paper as a foundation. The markers, sticky notes, index cards, and envelopes will all be used to categorize the information on the posters.
My students love to use color to create posters.
Other projects include creating content cubes by cutting the envelopes to make a cube to showcase a poster on all four sides on the cube.
My student love listening to music as they create their posters. Whether they make them by themselves or in a group they are always amazing!!
