Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Since the Chinese New Year is approaching, with the inspiration of "Panda: Let's Explore!: Chinese New Year!", our class decided to explore this most important Chinese festival by decorating our class by themselves. Students will use lantern, couplets , Fu and banners to decorate our classroom. Since the following year is dragon year of 2024, we will decorate the class with some dragon hanging on the ceiling.

Decorating the class day by day and telling the meaning of all the process will be a great way to let students experience the culture.

As students of IB school, taking actions and doing reflections are one of the most important concepts and procedure of students learning. Decorating the class would be a great change for them to take actions and reflect.

My students are thrilled to start the new year by this project. Thank you very much!
