Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In Kindergarten there are so many reasons to celebrate! We celebrate holidays, birthdays, moving up, and so much more.

By donating to this project you will be helping support my class in having an amazing time with these festivities!

I am asking for cultural books that will help teach my students about different celebrations around the world such as the Lunar New Year, Mardi Gras, and St. Patrick’s day. My class has really been enjoying hearing stories about other cultures this year.

Our curriculum includes a unit on kings and queens. At the end of this unit we have a tea party. Students always enjoy getting dressed up and having tea like the royals.

We also celebrate birthdays! Students love to wear a birthday crown and pick a prize out on their birthday.

Lastly, my class does not have a graduation in kindergarten but, at the end of the year I always give them a goodie bag with a few toys and resources for the up and coming school year.

If this project is fully funded my class will get the opportunity to continue the fun!
