Let's Be Little Geniuses with Osmo

Help me give my students three more sets of alphabet pieces to use with our Osmo system, so that students can have the chance to use them more often.

My Students

My students are a group of kindergarteners that attend a public K-5 school in southern Wisconsin. We work hard as a classroom community, including everyone and helping each other throughout the day.

In our classroom, we incorporate a lot of singing, dancing, and technology into our routines.

My class is made up of students from a diverse set of backgrounds and ethnicities, who love coming to school, learning, and being in kindergarten. Approximately 50% of the students at our school qualify for free or reduced price lunch. These students deserve a fun and engaging environment in which to learn!

My Project

Technology is so appealing to kids! My students enjoy and benefit from using iPads in our classroom, and I strive to provide them with meaningful uses for these devices. The Osmo system works in conjunction with an iPad and allows the user to play different educational games. My students already have the opportunity to use our Osmo system during their center learning time, but we have a limited number of the required learning pieces to share.

Little Genius kits will help students reinforce basic skills, such as letters and phonics, allowing them to get creative while they build and learn the alphabet.

Donations for this project will give students more opportunities to use our Osmo system to reinforce early literacy skills. Students for years to come will be able to experience the Osmo workstation in my classroom. Thank you for helping to bring this into the lives of my students!
