This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Music is a universal language. It is expressed in many ways. We create music using rhythms and melodies. Pianos help students understand how melodies are created by having the chance to play them and/or create them on the piano.

Playing piano develops creativity and self-expression.

It also strengthens the muscles in your hand and forearms as well as improves eye-hand coordination. My project involves teaching students how to play simple songs on the piano and provide them a beginning keyboard experience. Eventually, I plan to add more keyboards so that I can reach more students in a shorter amount of time.
