This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are fun-loving and eager to learn and please each and every day. They exit off the bus with a greeting and smile and walk together as a class to the classroom. As students of a Title I school, they do not let disadvantages get them down. They work hard in small groups while in the classroom, powerfully enjoy hands-on projects, and love to earn rewards for their decision-making.
My Project
Students will use Real-World activities to engage with daily living skills. Students will use their reward points for payments as they work on their money management, daily life skills, and reading/ math skills. Students will engage with fractions to assist with cooking and learning how to measure. Students will earn Classdojo points as they proceed through their activities. These points will be used to purchase items from the reward chest. Students will be able to understand the importance of learning fractions and how they will be used in Real World applications.
