During lunch groups focused on social skills, students use games to practice communication, teamwork, and problem-solving in a relaxed setting. The fidgets and calming tools help students stay regulated and focused during conversations about emotions, friendships, and coping strategies. I also worked with small groups of students who were struggling academically, using these materials to create a supportive environment while we focused on goal setting, organization, and creating action plans for success.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, students will continue building social-emotional and academic skills. The students enjoyed the hunt for the foods and were highly knowledgeable of their foods. \r\nNext, the students prepared their well balanced meal. Their strong appetites led to most of the students picking steaks for the protein. It was a joy to see as they identified what they would like to eat and what they can eat to prepare a well balanced meal. \r\nYour generosity has provided another avenue for the students to get out of their seats and identify how to eat healthy. To their fortunes, they will be engaging with the foods on a weekly basis as the next project is to work on patterns ( making of a sandwich), mystery bag ( identifying the type of food where students describe shape and texture for others to identify, and recipe building where students are given three step directions to follow. Because of your contribution, my students now have consistent access to hands-on learning materials, science labs, project-based learning packets, and interactive worksheets that bring our lessons to life. One recent moment that stood out was during a cell biology project where students worked in groups to model single-celled organisms and analyze real-world scenarios — every student had their own materials to explore, annotate, and reflect without worrying about limited copies. It truly made learning more engaging and equitable for all.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the stacks of fresh materials ready for our projects and labs, they were excited and immediately eager to dive into their work. Many of them shared how it made them feel like \"real scientists\" having their own investigation sheets and research organizers. It also allowed us to move smoothly through lessons without delays, keeping students focused and motivated.\r\n\r\nNext, we are using these resources to support an upcoming project-based unit where students will explore body systems and how cells work together to support life. They will create models, complete data analysis activities, and present their findings — all made possible because we can print high-quality learning materials for every student.
