My Project

As children spend more and more time in front of a phone, computer, or television screen, it seems like they've lost the ability to think creatively, work through a productive struggle, think ahead, problem-solve, and simply have fun without the screen.

I want to help foster problem-solving, thinking ahead, and working through the productive struggle that many of my students aren't comfortable working through.

I am also hoping these games will encourage students’ creativity, get them working in partnerships, and encourage fun without the screen.

Thinkfun Laser Maze Game, Bungee Table, Magna-Tiles, and more will be used by all current 5th graders and any other students we may work with in the future. We have team-building days built into our school year. We also have indoor recess when the Wisconsin winters get too cold and the springs get too wet. These games and activities will be perfect!
