My Project

Each learner is unique in their own ways. As Howard Gardner describes one of the types of learning intelligences is visual-spatial. These learners learn best through exploration with artistic mediums.

Every year I have several students who are strong in this learning intelligence.

I noticed that they learn best when arts and crafts are involved in class and not just purely reading and writing.

As an educator, it is a challenge for me to think of strategies that could help them to improve their literacy skills. Having arts and crafts as part of our routine makes my learners enjoy the work. I am requesting paint, paint brushes, colored pencils, play dough, and other materials for hands-on craft activities. As well as table coverings and a pencil sharpener to make those activities run smoothly.

Ms. Call will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 29.
