My Students

My students are fun-loving and eager to learn. I am an occupational therapist and I work with special education students in a Title I school. I work with students ranging from kindergarten through eighth grade. The majority of my students are below grade level in math, reading, and writing. The majority of my students come from low-income households and have limited supplies and technology at home.

My Project

I am an occupational therapist and I work with my students on many skills, including improving their fine motor skills, visual-motor skills, visual perceptual skills and sensory processing skills. These skills are the building blocks for being a successful learner.

Children learn best through play, and so I try to make our therapy sessions fun and exciting by engaging in various hands-activities.

However, we need the supplies to be able to do this. By donating these art supplies and activities, you will enable me to be able to perform various fun and hands-on activities with my students during our occupational therapy sessions.

Many of my students come from low-income homes and don't have these opportunities at home. The art supplies and activities that I have chosen will allow my students to be able to learn and improve various skills, in a fun and exciting way!
