Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students I work with are in my After Care Program and are in need of creative and fun ways to explore. The students work hard during the school day, so during the AfterCare Program they should play hard. We currently have limited resources that are fun and innovative. The students should be using tools to push their creative energy. The AfterCare Program should be fun and ways the students can explore through art and recreational fun. Along with the school Art teacher, we want to be able to motivate the students' to create and learn through art and recreational fun.

My Project

Students will be learning how to create through design. Students will also have the option for physical play with the playground balls. All designs created will be brought home for their enjoyment. The students' families will be able to see the creative outcomes from the designing projects. This will embrace the students' understanding of how to produce something great using their creative mind. The AfterCare program is a place where students can explore through art and play. With these tools requested, our program will be more enriching for our students.
