I teach in an urban Title 1 elementary school that serves grades K-5. I am teaching a group of 12 children who receive special education services within the Special Learning Center classroom.
The students in my classroom are an amazing group of diverse learners and all around amazing kids.
Their joy for learning is contagious. After a year of learning at home they are embracing opportunities for cooperative learning.
My Project
Help my students learn early number, letter, color and shape fluency through hands on activities!
Many of the students in my class need hands on activities and daily practice with multiple types of materials materials to explore in order to be able to learn and generalize the early number and letter concepts.
These activities will help my students learn more about letters and numbers through hands on activities that will make learning fun! I also have several students who struggle with fine motor skills. These activities will help students build strength and develop dexterity through manipulating these tools.
Thank you for considering funding my project to make letters and numbers fun to learn for my class!
