Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students have every disadvantage imaginable. Even though we are located in the poorest area in the United States, I’m amazed at how our students persevere. Students come to school to receive a hot meal and shelter. We put in every ounce of effort to meet their specific needs.

Although students face many obstacles, our main goal is to have our students continue to expand their education by providing individualized learning opportunities in STEAM areas by providing opportunities through project based learning.

We set goals together and challenge them to meet and surpass those goals in order to become productive citizens in their school community.

We face a much larger obstacle as we navigate through virtual learning. With your help, I can offer my students better learning opportunities both online and in the classroom! We are expanding our coding and robotics outreach to inclusive for all students. With Space-X site close by, we can only imagine all the possibilities and opportunities we can offer our student in STEAM!

My Project

These health and safety classroom supplies will be essential for my students as we continue navigating this school year with Covid still around. My students will greatly benefit from the masks, hand sanitizer, and a germ purifier.

Once they know the classroom environment is clean and safe, they can then spend their time engaged in the day's lesson, rather than worrying if their desk is clean.

An air purifier is added measure to keeping our students safe.

Access to bottled water will also prevent students from needing to use water fountains. We keep a small supply of bottled water in case any student forgets their water bottle at home. All of these classroom supplies are essential to providing students with the health and safety items they will need to stay healthy during the continued Covid pandemic.
