My Project

Imagine students stepping outside to read beneath the shade of a tree, investigate the wonders of nature, collaborate with classmates in the fresh air, or practice mindfulness in a peaceful environment. An outdoor classroom can transform everyday lessons into meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.

My students thrive when they have opportunities to move, explore, and connect with the world around them.

However, we currently lack a dedicated outdoor learning space where they can safely engage in lessons beyond the four walls of the classroom. With your support, we can create an inviting environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.

This project will provide durable outdoor seating, weather-resistant learning materials, storage, and other essential items needed to establish a welcoming classroom outside. The space will be used for reading groups, science investigations, writing activities, STEM challenges, social-emotional learning, and collaborative projects. It will also serve as a calming environment where students can recharge and refocus before returning to academic tasks.

Outdoor learning has been shown to increase student engagement, improve focus, encourage problem-solving, and support both physical and emotional well-being. For many students, a change of scenery can make learning more accessible and enjoyable while fostering a deeper appreciation for nature and the environment.

Your generosity will help create a space where every student has the opportunity to learn through exploration, discovery, and meaningful experiences. Together, we can build an outdoor classroom that inspires curiosity, supports academic growth, and creates lasting memories for years to come.
