They were able to combine their creativity with economics. A few food trucks were selected to be apart of a middle school art show at a local art gallery. Taking part in this project, I could see them building their confidence as they collaborated and shared ideas with one another. It was and has been something that other students also want to do. One special moment was seeing their excitement after playing with a full, resonant sound for the first time.\r\n\r\nWhen the cello arrived, students were immediately excited and curious. They quickly noticed the difference in sound quality, and it sparked conversations about caring for instruments and taking pride in their musicianship.\r\n\r\nAs we continue preparing for upcoming performances, this cello will support both individual growth and our full ensemble sound. Every Friday, our two adaptive classes read coffee orders, fill those orders, and deliver to other staff members in the school. The coffee cart allows my students to interact with other staff members they are not familiar with. They are using sign language and their IPAD's to communicate to others. We are also working on math by counting how many packets of sugar and how many scoops of creamer each order receives. Some students are working on matching the room numbers to the orders when delivering. \r\n\r\nThank you for providing a clothing rack. Students have been working hard on learning to hang their clothes. This is a skill that will help them as they get older. The students who can't hang the clothes sort the clothes on the hangers by color.
