Our students are multiethnic and multinational kids in an urban middle school. We have a great family atmosphere and the kids tell us they feel like they can come to the teachers for anything. They are community minded students that suggest topics for service learning projects. Some of our achievements include: ** 2010-2011 School of Distinction ** 2010 Science Olympiad Regional Competition: Two 4th Place Medals 2009-2010 NC State Music Festival Adjudication: 6th Grade Chorus, Superior Rating 8th Grade Girls' Ensemble, Superior Rating 2009-2010 Fiesta-Val Music Competition: 8th Grade Mixed Chorus, Excellent Rating and 1st Place 8th Grade Girls' Ensemble, Superior Rating and 1st Place, Champion of Middle School Division ** 2009-2010: All AYP Goals Met ** ** 2009-2010 School of High Growth **
