This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

January 22, 2023, will mark the start of Lunar New Year, the Year of the Rabbit. Many of my students are not familiar with this cultural celebration. I'd like to take this opportunity to help my students explore something new as they kick off 2023. The goal of this project is to introduce the Chinese Lunar New Year to my Kindergarten through 5th grade students. We will be reading both fiction and nonfiction books about the Lunar New Year customs and celebrations.

Every time I introduce a topic in the library, our students are eager to learn more, this collection of books will help to quench their thirst for knowledge.
