Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My diverse group of 2nd graders comes to school so full of life, excitement, and a huge curiosity for learning. They are always looking forward to the next lesson or project we will engage in.

Our school receives Title I funds since most of the students come from low-income households.

My hope is to provide my students with the highest expectations so that they can succeed in their lives, education, and careers. To help me do that, I need resources that these students may not have readily available.

My Project

I am seeking to get a few basic supplies for my students so that they can actively demonstrate learning in the classroom. White boards are a heavy utilized tool in my classroom. With whiteboards, my students are able to show their work quickly. There are many benefits for students using whiteboards. They help with collaboration and brainstorming, gives students their voice, allows them to quickly edit their thinking without overly obsessing of erasing, and much more.

Whiteboards are also a great tool for me to use so I can quickly check students understanding throughout lessons.

With this project I am requesting whiteboards, boards markers, and board erasers. All these materials are for the benefit of my students and their learning.
