They used the life cycle figurines to compare how frogs, butterflies, ants, and ladybugs grow and change. They collected temperature data with the classroom thermometer and connected their observations to daily weather patterns. With the force and motion kit, they tested pushes and pulls, experimented with speed and direction, and talked about why objects moved in different ways.\r\n\r\nThese hands-on experiences helped students turn abstract concepts into discoveries they could see, touch, model, and investigate. Their excitement encouraged active participation, meaningful conversations, and collaboration. These small rewards have brought so much excitement to our classroom and have helped make learning feel even more positive and encouraging.\r\nMy students were so excited when they first saw all of the colorful prizes! Their faces immediately lit up, and they could not wait to see what they might earn. They especially loved the friendship bracelets, squishies, light-up rings, and fun fidget toys. The new treasure-box items have given them something special to work toward while also helping us celebrate their effort and accomplishments.\r\nOur next step is to continue building our students' reading skills through targeted small-group instruction. Students will continue working on phonics, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension while setting individual reading goals.
