My Project

My students are AMAZING! They are dedicated and hard working learners. They are also full of great ideas and energy! Many struggle at home for many reasons (little food, little parent time, unstable homes, lack of water and clean clothes). At school is where they find all the "things" they need to survive.

They need extra help with their learning, by having new tools, (crates for storage and new learning games) the kids will have some more access to the moving and active kind of learning they need.

Not all children learn the same, but all deserve to learn. My kids are always striving to reach new levels of learning, and school is where they are trying to reach even higher. We are focusing on reading skills to improve their overall goal of being a better readers. By having the students use a writing board to write and move around their new information; they can better understand. They need to have a place to write again and again, on pages they can wipe off after they are done. Keeping all of their supplies one organized area, allows them to take ownership of the learning and the supplies. By allowing the kids to take ownership of learning they are learning two life long skills, reading and organizing and caring for tools/supplies.
