This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are absolutely amazing!!! They are smart, caring, courageous, and full of energy. They come to school every day full of questions, ideas, and ready to learn.
As a teacher I recognize the importance of hands on learning materials.
I want my students to have the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of academic concepts through interactive games and play.
Our school is a Title I school, which means that the majority of our students are on free and reduced lunch. Because of this, they are considered "at risk." I truly believe that this phrase simply means they may need a little extra push because these students have a true desire and drive to succeed.
Every single student deserves the opportunity to participate in hands-on interactive games and activities that will help them to understand concepts that will help them be successful. I look forward to having a new group of students that I can help give a foundation for a happy healthy school year and life.
My Project
These games will help my students practice the skills that we are learning in the classroom. Play is a great way to learn, especially when it is targeted to a specific skill.
The donations to this project will allow my students the opportunity to learn while having fun.
They will use these games during small group, as well as guided math time as a fun and engaging way to review, reinforce and practice important reading and math skills that have been taught.
By having these resources available to my students, I will be able to encourage growth in an exciting way. I would love to make this a reality in my classroom, but I need your help. Thank you so much for your consideration.
