Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a Leader In Me school. Each year our students choose a philanthropic endeavor in every grade to help people in our community. The after school Leadership Team also does their part to participate in these events.

This year we are working with a local charity called the Staten Island Giving Circle to donate weekend breakfast necessities to help with food scarcity.

Our Leadership team is working to collect new, unopened boxes of cereal to donate to others in need and promote wellness with healthy eating habits. This is how we are relating it to the Monthly Mission. Additionally, we are going to create a Sweatshirt to sell to raise more money to buy cereal for the charity. The students will be participating in a Do Good pay it forward and selling the sweatshirts themselves. They will be involved in the design process and using our Circut machine they will be helping make them too! We would like to send 100 boxes of cereal to the charity. Please help us reach our goals!
